Grand-Master Chae Sun Yi is the Founder, President and Chief Instructor
of Sun Yi's Academy and the Traditional Tae Kwon Do Association.

Grand-Master Yi has been teaching Tae Kwon Do for over 40 years. He
began teaching in South Korea schools and became the Captain of the National
ROK Army Tae Kwon Do team, who won the South Korea National President Cup.

During this time he also trained Army Officers and taught Army
instructors for Vietnam.

In 1973, he traveled to the United States with the desire to expand the
knowledge of Tae Kwon Do. During 1973 and 1974, he taught at Iowa State
University.

He began teaching at Kansas State University in 1975. To this day, his
instructors continue to teach there.

He was the Director of the 1988 AAU National Jr. Olympics for Tae Kwon
Do.

Grand-Master Yi is an Internationally Certified Master Instructor and
recognized world-wide in the Martial Art of Tae Kwon Do.
Today, Grand-Master Yi continues to teach and train.
